Why a clothing brand talks about
Jesus.
Because what you're looking for isn't hanging in a wardrobe. We'd rather tell you that than sell you something else.
Where the name comes from
Selah.
Selahi comes from selah, a word that turns up again and again in the Psalms. Nobody knows exactly how it was used, but it's usually read as a pause: stop, and think about what you just heard.
That's what we want every line in this store to do.
The honest part
Jesus said not to worry about what you'll wear. We make clothes anyway.
He said it on a hillside, pointing at the wildflowers: not even a king was dressed like them, so why worry? We think he's right. Clothes are for wearing, not for proving anything. So we make them well, tell you exactly what they're made of, and never promise that a piece will make you more. Your worth was settled long before you got dressed.
What we believe
We believe God made you and loves you, that all of us walked away from him, and that Jesus came to bring us back: he died for what we did wrong, and he rose again. Anyone who trusts him is forgiven. Nobody earns that, including us. It's a gift.

Every piece is made to order for you, so nothing is made just to sit in a warehouse. It also means your order takes a few days longer, and we tell you how long before you pay.
What we don't claim: we won't call anything sustainable, handmade or ethical until we can tell you exactly how.
